One of the original founding members of Burns McCurrach (previously Appleby & Burns), John entered accounting at 21 and was a Partner by 23.
He specialises in management accounting, share valuations, business plans, finance applications and business development.
John works closely with the entertainment industry in both an advisory and an accounting role, where he has helped many fledgling artists grow into household names. He is also prominent in the property industry and has many clients in engineering and retail.
John sits on the board of a number of private companies, and is involved with several charities. He is also involved in Surf Lifesaving and the Carlton Grammar rugby club, where he was a senior representative. John is on the board of the New Zealand Music Industry Commission, and was previously the secretary of the New Zealand Restaurant Association.
